The History of the RNLI

 Read the fascinating 193 year
 history of the RNLI.

The RNLI is the charity that provides a 24-hour lifesaving service around the UK and Republic of Ireland. Our lifeboat service in the UK receives no government funding.

As a charity, the RNLI relies on public support to carry on saving lives at sea. Public support is vital in training and equipping our volunteer lifesaving crews.

The RNLI's volunteer crews give up their time and comfort to carry out rescues in difficult and often dangerous conditions. Training is vital to allow volunteers to go to sea and save lives.

BGC Events supports the Royal National Lifeboat Institute with an annual donation.
